  08 November 2024

The G20 Health Ministers’ Rio de Janeiro Declaration focuses on achieving universal health coverage, strengthening health systems, and enhancing pandemic preparedness. The pharmaceutical industry supports these priorities, advocating for health innovation, improved pandemic preparedness, antibiotic R&D ecosystem, regulatory convergence, and addressing neglected tropical diseases and climate change. The final declaration supports equitable access, voluntary technology transfer, pandemic preparedness, and climate change. Brazil’s focus on resilient health systems and the pharmaceutical industry’s commitment to these priorities is commendable.
